It’s Almost Time…Cooking on the Grill
Yes, it’s almost time to clean that grill up and start using it! Summer is approaching fast. Although I must admit, there were a few times during the fall and spring that I actually cooked on the grill – I just love it! There are some really great points to using a grill as opposed to a stove or oven.
Grilled food tends to be healthier than cooking in oils on the stove. It’s also a great way to keep the heat out of your home in the dead of summer. It also keeps the mess out of the kitchen and there tends to be less to clean up. I don’t know about you but there’s something about using paper plates when cooking on the grill – they just seem to go together.
Cooking on the grill is a great way to get the whole family involved – from preparing the meals to cleaning up.
There are many, many different ways to grill meals. Just get your imagination and taste buds involved and in no time, you’ll have a delicious meal, all done on the grill. And I’m not just talking grilling meats – you can grill all kinds of vegetables and potatoes. Keep in mind that side dishes such as baked beans, potato salad and fruits are fantastic side dishes and certainly not hard to prepare.
Cooking on the grill always seems to be more relaxing and fun than cooking in the kitchen, doesn’t it? And the smell of grilling foods…yum…has my mouth watering just thinking about it
If yours isn’t, don’t you think it’s time to clean up, dust off, and fire up your grill?!

Chris,
What do you mean by grill being bad for your health? Do you mean the physical grill or the overcooked food?
I use the George Foreman grill and its fast and easy. Takes me less than 5 minutes to grill some chicken breast. I have to admit its a lot healthier.

Hi Bruce…I agree, the George Foreman grill works great!
Grilling is fun, but I say smoking meat, especially a brisket is more worthwhile.
There are more than one way to cook on a grill. Everyone knows how to throw a burger or hot dog on the outdoor grill, but barbecue cooking can go far beyond that.
Grilling is such a fun and easy way of cooking, also very healthy.
However, you need to take care of how your use your grill, because careless use can be bad for your health. Cooking meat at high temperatures (charring them) causes the formation of chemicals called “polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons” and “hetrocyclic amines” — both of which are linked to a higher risk of some cancers.
Expensive cuts of meat tend to be the ones that are tender and can be cooked quickly and easily. This doesn’t mean that you can’t create a great meal with a cut that costs less. Barbecue and Grilling give you the ability to cook these cuts right and make something better than most any restaurant can turn out.
Grilling taste so much healthier and a lot better. Hopefully this trick will help us to lose a few pounds.
HI,
Food is a very important factor for most of the people and like this thing. Food can directly affect your health. Here you have given very useful information to get a healthy life. Anyways keep sharing your valuable thoughts.
Cooking on a stove or using your kitchen oven, even for about an hour a day, can raise the overall temperature in your home by as much as four degrees. Heating caused by using your oven or stove makes it more difficult for your air conditioning thermostat to maintain proper room temperature. Grilling outside can ease some of the burden on your air conditioning system, lowering your summer energy bills by as much as 5%. Grilling is also beneficial in that it can reduce summer energy costs.
According to me,using an outdoor grill can be a great way to prepare healthy foods as long as you use your grill properly. Everyone loves grill cooking. Whether its a Sunday brunch or a lazy afternoon, outdoor grilling is fun and quite different from cooking on your stove or oven. Steaks are the best cooked on grill. It becomes all juicy and tastes far better than directly cooked.
