<description>The above comment(Linda) says that people are put off by people constantly staring at you when you&#039;re on a treadmill at the gym. I actually agree because it&#039;s happened to me before.

When it comes to a treadmill I only like it for one thing and that is intervals. All this is is running at a somewhat fast pace for about 30 seconds then slowing down for about a minute. A treadmill is great for intervals because you can monitor your time and speed while running. If I simply want to go for steady jog then I prefer the outdoors. Other than that I try to always use my treadmill for intervals since it is proven to burn more fat.

<description>Yes, it&#039;s true. Regular exercise and a healthy diet is what you need to lose weight. Sure, some slimming aids can help speed up the process. And some methods such as liposuction allow a person to lose a huge amount of weight in one foul swoop. But the weight will just pile back on again.

In my opinion, your advice is great. It&#039;s a wise idea to consult your doctor before undergoing any exercise program. Especially if you have lived a sedentary lifestyle for some time.

I agree that a treadmill is a good idea. I think a lot of people that go to gyms are actually put off by people constantly staring. And a treadmill in your own home eliminates that problem obviously. No excuses!
